Take charge of your morning routine to set the stage for the rest of the day. Plan to give yourself extra time in the morning to ease into your day without feeling overwhelmed by the added commute.
It might take longer than you expect to feel like you're back into a routine that works well for you and your family or partner. Be patient with yourself and continue to adapt your habits until you feel comfortable and at ease.
Plan a time to do a bit of meal prep on the weekend to set yourself up with healthy meals and snacks for your week. This will save you time and energy in the morning and keep you from eating take out for lunch.
Feeling anxious can be a normal part of any new transition. Talking with someone about how you're feeling, going for a walk, or doing a daily meditation can help alleviate these unwanted feelings. You may need to schedule it in to build the habit.
Look for a new podcast or audiobook to enjoy on your daily commute. Savour the extra time to yourself before and after your workday and use it as a way to ease into the next part of your day or unwind.
