With the Holidays behind us and the new year in full swing (oh, and a newborn baby!) I find I am craving healthy snacks to fuel my afternoons. What you choose to snack on can make or break your energy throughout the afternoon, not to mention impact your sugar cravings! Today I’m sharing 5 healthy snacks to fuel your new year.
Nuts make for a great snack because the healthy fats and fiber help keep hunger at bay, but plain nuts and seeds can be a bit bland day in and day out. This is one of my go-to's because it's easy and it satisfies my craving for something salty without being full of preservatives, excess sodium and added sugar like many store bought brands.

I love how easy energy bites are but they tend to be high in sugar (especially because I can rarely have just one!). These ones satisfy cravings for something sweet, without the blood sugar crash.

Normally biscuits wouldn't qualify as a healthy snack idea but these ones are made with nut-based flours so are full of healthy fats and low in sugar. They taste amazing warmed up and topped with jam and/or almond butter!
