Now, it doesn’t happen to everybody, but when I hear my clients say, “I just can’t digest meat anymore” or “_____ food just doesn’t agree with me like it used to”, I know what one of the likely reasons is (there are many – but this is a common one).
As we age, the amount of stomach acid that our bodies produces decreases. This happens our whole life, but there is a very prominent decline in our 30s as shown in the below chart.
